Is Our Food Feeding Us?

I've been thinking about this topic for a while. Spinach seems to be one of those foods especially susceptible to nutrient reduction during growing and processing.

I've been studying permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and related matters for several years now. Also, I do grow some my families food these days.

If a person wants to maintain healthy soil and grow some of their own food, like spinach, it would still make grandma and Popeye proud! But, most people simply cannot or do not grow their own food. And FAR fewer have any idea at all how to build and maintain healthy soil in their garden.

TL;DR It’s true. The food you get today is not necessarily as nutritious as the food you may have been able to procure 50 or 100 years ago even though it may look similar on the surface.

But, there is good news. We do know what to do about this and we may just be starting to do it more and more!
